The project

In October 2020 we were asked to look at a full refurbishment of a semi-detached property in Romiley. The client wanted to maximise the potential of the house with a new extension and double garage which would facilitate the internal renovations to create a much more usable open plan space.

We began by documenting a briefing document for our design team to reference in all future design work, to ensure our proposals accounted for the key items requested by the client. Following this we carried out a full survey and drew all of the existing building information in 3D before putting forward our design proposals and options for the clients.

Scope

Proposals briefing document for sign off by the client - to ensure clarity throughout the design process.

Carried out a full survey of the existing house, including outdoor space / gardens / driveway and completed a full 3D model of the existing.

Sketch plans to confirm with the client the initial brief and the planned proposals.

Our design team then drew up 2 options for the client to show possible variations in the design, including changes of materials. There were both drawn in 3D to allow the client to have a better visual understanding of the design aspects of each option.

We are now waiting on final comments on the chosen option to be able to submit the proposal for planning in the new year.

Once our design team have achieved planning, our construction team will get on board to assist in construction costs, before delivering the proposal to the high spec set out by the design team.
